In 2019, I stumbled across a free 3-day design intensive. Those three days changed everything. I opened Figma for the first time and felt something click. ### The self-taught path What happened next was pure immersion. No formal courses, no structured curriculum—just determination and endless practice. Within a year, I was working as a freelance designer for international clients. Within two years, I was leading design teams. Within three years, I was teaching the very skill I'd taught myself. ### Building products, not just designs As I grew as a designer, I realized I didn't just want to make things look good—I wanted to build products that mattered. That led me to healthcare and education technology, where design has direct, measurable impact on people's lives. ## Designing with purpose People often ask why I focus on healthcare and education. The answer is simple: impact. When I design an application that helps children with special needs train their brains and integrate into society, I'm not just pushing pixels—I'm contributing to someone's future. When I create a platform that allows elite athletes to optimize their performance and health, I'm helping people reach their full potential. Healthcare and education are spaces where design has profound consequences. A confusing interface isn't just annoying—it can prevent someone from getting the care or education they need. ## Design philosophy > I believe that good design is a bridge between business and the customer. Design isn't art for art's sake. It's a tool for connection. On one side, there are business goals: revenue, growth, market fit. On the other side, there are human needs: clarity, ease, trust, delight. The designer's job is to build the bridge that connects them. ## The person behind the pixels ### Classic Rock Enthusiast Metallica, AC/DC, Scorpions, Iron Maiden—the soundtrack to my creative process. There's something about the energy and authenticity of classic rock that fuels my work. ### My favorite sport is boxing I have been boxing for almost 10 years. In addition to physical discipline, boxing has taught me focus, endurance, and how to stay calm under pressure. ### Cultural Explorer Traveling exposes me to different cultures, design patterns, and ways of thinking that inform how I build products. Every country teaches me something new. ### AI-Powered Creator This entire portfolio? Built with AI tools like Claude, Lovable, and Cursor. I've built over 50 projects leveraging AI, constantly experimenting with new workflows. ## Teaching & mentoring I've taught and mentored over 200 designers — covering UX foundations, AI-assisted workflows, and portfolio development. Whether in the classroom or through 1:1 mentoring sessions, I focus on bridging the gap between learning design and actually shipping it.
